1950's
Benrus
Automatic

Here is a beautiful high grade 25 jewel Swiss Benrus
(most likely an ETA)
Man's dress automatic watch.  Benrus co. imported quality
Swiss watches in the 40's-60's.
This one surly was from the 1950's, which
in my opinion was the decade that the best
 mechanical watches were made.
For the younger collectors, an automatic
watch never needs winding as long
as you wear it every day. The dial is excellent
perfect correct crystal.

Gold filled case.    Nice big lugs.

Stainless steel back

This is an excellent case design,
where the back never comes off.

Here is how they made it.
The watch pushes out of the case as, in the above picture.
Then the 2 piece stem comes out.
The crystal comes off, and you lift
the movement out of the case.  This is one
of the best cases made to keep the movement
clean and dry.

The movement is near mint.  25 jewels
NICE!

I have serviced this watch, and it runs like new.
The Benrus 3 and 4 star watches (marked on the dial) were the
best they had.  Now you know why!
